Problem Based Learning

A method of teaching used in my classroom that allows students to learn curriculum content through a series of real-life problems. Utilized mostly in our social studies curriculum, problem based learning has transformed the way I teach. Click below to see sample unit "problems"

Student Scheduling

A method of teaching that trains students to break down larger tasks into easier sections, and create their own schedules based on individual abilities and preferences. This method allows me to give the students choice in their learning, creating higher levels of motivation, and frees me up to meet with individual students on their particular needs. Students will have time woven in throughout the week in which they get to schedule part of their school day.
