Things to do at home
  • Continuing our Non-fiction unit of study by sharing facts that we have learned.
  • Further comprehension skills through character study:
    • read books with same characters
    • discuss characters actions
    • compare characters to others in books, self, and other people we know
    • predict story outcome by what we know about characters
  • Check your child's folder every night for notes and homework.
  • Remember to read with your child each night and fill in the star paper!
  • Dress your child appropriately as the weather gets warmer!
  • Label all of your child's clothing
  • Send in a healthy snack everyday!

  • ask your child questions as he/she reads their story at night
  • practice addition/subtraction flash cards (fact triangles)
  • practice counting forward and backward from any number
  • tell and solve number stories
  • review coins - values and counting mixed coins
  • send in tissues if you have any - we have many runny noses!
  • Ask your child if they need any replacement supplies: pencils, erasers, dry-erase markers, glue sticks, crayons, and/or colored pencils.
