In the art room students sit at tables of four. Each lesson is started with the students' focus at the front board where background information and visual examples of art work are given for the project. After the introduction students are called over to the demonstration table where the teacher will demonstrate technique and give instruction on "how" to create their next masterpiece. Students return to their tables and start their art project. When students complete a project before the end of class, they have the opportunity to work on their free draw folders. These drawings are kept in the art room until we accumulate enough to create a booklet that they decorate a cover and will bring home. |
